Comes from an artists family. His father, prof. Milos Ciric (1931–1999)
was one of the foremost Yugoslav graphic designers and heraldry experts,
and his mother Ida Ciric (*1932), important children books illustrator.

Rastko graduated in 1979 and obtained a Master's Degree in 1982
at the Faculty of Applied Arts, University of Arts, Belgrade.
Now Associate Professor of Illustration at the same school.
Chief of the Animation Department at the Dunav Film School, Belgrade.
Secretary General of the Belgrade Ex-libris Circle.

Member of ULUPUDS, ASIFA, Belgrade Ex-libris Circle, Yugoslav "Art Directors Club".

Author of many illustrated books and booklets.
Designed over 220 logos for different companies.
26 one-man exhibitions, over 180 group exhibitions
Author of 11 animated films and over 50 commercial animatons.
1988: Co-founder with R. Munitic & V. Vlajic of AAA (Avala Animation Studio)
Winner of international and Yugoslav awards for animation and illustration.

Politikin Zabavnik (since 1986)
and the New York Times Book Review (since 2002)
